The Red Cross Mobile Museum is on the road again
In 2003, the American Red Cross created two traveling exhibits to help raise public awareness of the ongoing need for blood. This fall, the Mobile Museums continue their noble mission visiting communities throughout the country (see schedule). The exhibit theme, Discover the Gift Inside, is an invitation to a fun, educational experience that brings the story of blood to life. Visitors hear powerful stories and discover amazing facts about blood and the importance of
blood donation. The museums offer interactive trivia games, hands-on activities, video and email booths, and more. Please check the schedule for dates and locations, and come – discover the gift inside… and learn what you can do to save a life.
The Mobile Museums feature artwork by Pulitzer Prize winning artist and journalist Karen Blessen.
The Discover the Gift Inside exhibits are an extension of Red Cross’ largest ever public awareness and education campaign about the importance of blood donation launched in 2003, the Save A Life Tour. During the 2003 Tour, the Mobile Museums traveled to over 300 communities across the U.S., educating tens of thousands of people about the need for blood.
